NYE 2010

New postby Don McGurrin » Thu Jul 22, 2010 8:26 am

I'm guessing they will be doing the left coast again. There are in Philly in Dec so that kills that for sure. It looks like there is a couple shows I can make before the year ends.

Maybe. But they are doing the huge September/October run in the mid north and north west and California. So hopefully and maybe we will get a NYE show on the east coast.

I'm really hoping they do Portland round 3 for new years but I have a feeling that they will play somewhere in Colorado. They have a huge fan base in Colorado but I don’t think they have ever done a new year’s show there. Although they are from Jersey I would consider them a west coast band and I don’t think a little run through in September is going to stop them from being out here a for NYE.

If they do come out to Portland we need all you east coast tapers to come. I hate to admit it but west coast tapers are seriously slacking. If any of you hobos need a back yard to throw a tent up in in Portland for the September run or for NYE I can hook that up

+1 on Colorado. 3 nights at the Fox would be perfect.

They don't make any money out here, so do the math ...

I'd guess Denver or Boulder, they aren't playing in the fall like usual and they haven't done NYE here before. And given they can sell out 3 shows in row at the Fox they know the market is there. Either that or they better add some dates, I don't have the $$$ to travel right now. YarmoyGrass will be great, but I want to hear the songs from the new album before 2011 roles around.

(By green do you mean cash for the band, or the weed, or both :))

No speculation. The band makes WAAAAAY more money out west instead of NJ on the NYE runs, period. I would say it would be no surprise if it's in OR again. They got it down there 2 years in a row, why take a chance on a "new" market ? I mean it's all of us NJ folks fault anyway

Anybody who flies in I would advise showing up a day early.... While Denver isn't snowy every late December, when it is it can be a doozy of a storm and DIA can be a mess.

Hopefully this is true. The Odgen itself doesn't have any December dates posted.

RRE says it's the Ogden. 3 days. Nice... A 10 minute drive.
